Olsen wins Junior Invitational

GRANITEVILLE -- Zachary Olsen shot 1-over-par 73 today to win the second annual Junior Invitational at Sage Valley.

Olsen, a 17-year-old from Cordova, Tenn., won by three shots over four golfers: North Augusta's Matt NeSmith, Wyndham Clark, Robby Shelton and Taylor Moore.

Olsen, who is bound to play his college golf at Oklahoma State, finished the 54-hole tournament at 7-under 209.

Olsen will receive a "Sage Valley Gold" blazer and a custom trophy that was unveiled this year.

Next year, don't miss the chance to go see this in person. There were only a couple of thousand folks on the course, and the views of the play and the view of the course are astounding and unforgettible. Even non-golfers will enjoy the beauty of this place. They are like a Junior Masters in every way.
