A Martinez man was charged with public indecency Saturday night for exposing himself to motorists on Washington Road.

Witnesses saw Booker Latangle Floyd, 34, of the 100 block of Crail Drive, with his pants down and exposing himself toward traffic on Washington Road near Baston Road. He also was seen making hand gestures and pointing up at the sky, according to a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

A deputy found Floyd walking down Washington Road toward the rear of Martinez United Methodist Church. Floyd told the officer he needed to urinate and said he was unsure if he had been exposing himself to traffic, the report stated.

Floyd registered a .115 on a breathalyzer test and also was charged with public drunkenness.

He remained at the Columbia County Detention Center Monday with bond set at $2,200, according to jail personnel.

always freaks me out to find

always freaks me out to find out crimes and such have taken place while I was only about a mile (or less) away with my young 4-year-old nephew. I suppose we were asleep at this time, but it's still kinda strange...I'm too naive, that's all.
