Ed Lamb of the Eureka Fire Department hooks a tow chain to a fire truck that crashed Monday evening in a one car accident on Edgefield Highway in Aiken.

Richard Oxendine, of Trenton, was driving the 1980 GMC fire truck from the Aiken County community to a vehicle fire shortly before 5 p.m. when he took the right turn from Edgefield Highway onto Springfield Church Road too sharply and rolled the truck, Lance Cpl. Judd Jones said.

Oxendine was not injured. His passenger, Jennifer Tooten, also of Trenton, was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital with minor injuries.

Both were wearing seat belts, Jones said.
