One man is in the hospital and another in jail after a shooting at Richmond Hill Apartments early Sunday.

Deputies were called to the 500 block of Richmond Hill Road to investigate gunshots around 1:45 a.m. When they got there, they found Clinton Coleman, 26, with gunshot wounds to his upper chest and arm, Richmond County Sheriff’s Lt. Robbie Silas said.

Coleman was taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital, where he is stable, Silas said.

Deputies arrested Christopher Bush, 24, on charges including aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and criminal damage to property in the second degree.

Bullets penetrated the wall of an apartment where a woman and a child were inside, but neither were injured, Silas said.

Silas said the trouble started at a nightclub. Both men live in the Richmond Hill complex and continued the argument there, he said.

Doesn't sound like many

Doesn't sound like many charges for all this guy has done. People get in more trouble for letting a 17 year old drink a beer, at least in Columbia County.

Unpublished

I heard the gun shots. They appeared to come from semi-auto nine mils and AK-47s. I counted over 25 shots and it felt like a war zone without heavy artillery or bombs. It seemed so closed to my house that I had to drop to the floor from my bed and hoped for a quick cease fire announcement. Well. it brought bad war memories to my mind. Anyways, there were more than two shooters. What happened to the rest? I think that the whole club was involved in the shooting. The police found a victim with gunshot wounds to the upper chest and arm and the most serious charge is aggravated assault? Who the hell the arresting officer is? How about attempted murder? Let see if Al Sharpton marches downtown Augusta asking for more criminal charges for a black on black crime.

OOPS, this was just a shooting not a killing. I had just read the other article where a man was killed in a drive by. A little confused I guess, caffeine level is still low. Sorry.

Spotted_assassin, Attempted

Spotted_assassin, Attempted Murder and Aggravated Assault carry the same penalty. It's easier to prove the aggravated assault as opposed to the attempted murder. A defendant could always say he was just trying to hurt the guy instead of kill him.

Spotted_Assassin and

Spotted_Assassin and Walden..there is no such charge as Attempted Murder in the State of GA. The charge is Aggravated Assault with intent to Murder.

Seems to me the reports from

Seems to me the reports from the Sanford FL PD determined that there wasn't enough evidence for an arrest. Seems to me that the grand jury didn't find enough evidence to issue a bill of indictment. Seems the Emperor and Holder decided a special prosecutor was needed. Where is the justice in that? Yeah, I know the special prosecutor was appointed by the Florida Governor, but where did the pressure to do so come from?

As I recall it, there was

As I recall it, there was never a grand jury hearing nor was one necessary being that this was not a first-degree murder case. The people called for action. Justice usually takes place in a courtroom. It is amazing how so called Americans who believe in this nation’s constitution would not want justice for all regardless of race, creed, color, or national origin. It is also disgraceful that such a public outcry was necessary for the appropriate action to be taken.

Bush appears to be a fine pillar of the Augusta-Richmond County community -- NOT !! The media whores Al and Jesse won't be coming for this, or for the piece of excrement that beat his four year-old TO DEATH, because she could not recite her ABCs. They do not show up to clean up their own race's problems -- only when there is a black injustice, and cameras.

RK...the grand jury was to be

RK...the grand jury was to be convened but the governor stepped in and said no. So there was never a grand jury investigation. One of the investigating cops wanted to arrest Zimmerman. The Sanford PD has a history of letting white on black violence go unpunished..including one of the LTs sons. Theres a reason the police chief stepped down...it wasnt because he did his job correctly either. The burden of proof is on George Zimmerman to prove his life was in danger....however, he ignored police dispatchers directions to not follow the kid and he approached him anyway. So...he put his own life in danger by doing so.

roadkiII - i agree..pressure

roadkiII - i agree..pressure from the white house forced an indictment. Chief steps down instead of caving in -- i respect that.

fftaz - the evidence that has been made public was not enough to press charges, yet after another prosecutor gets involved all of a sudden there is enough to get an indictment. u could make a case and press charges on anyone if you just go get another officer/prosecutor to present a case after the originating officer/prosecutor refused. i havent heard any new evidence since the new prosecutor came in.
AND, Zimmerman has no duty to follow any suggestions made by the dispatcher. the dispatcher is not a certified law enforcement officer(99% of the time) and u can follow and confront anyone in this country as long as u do not illegally attempt to detain them or assault them. Martin has no right to assault Zimmerman just because he confronted him and asked him what he was doing. problem is, there is no evidence except Zimmermans testimony that states who threw the first punch. Soooo, where is the evidence stating that Zimmerman assaulted or detained Martin that would cause an altercation that led to the shooting. without that evidence, there should be no indictment.

Zimmerman could have kicked Martin in the nuts first or vice versa, but without a credible witness contradicting Zimmermans statement and his passed polygraph...u got no evidnce for an indictment. or at least they havent made it public yet.

TDBEEZ...that might be the

TDBEEZ...that might be the biggest crock of bull i have ever heard spewed.

"the dispatcher is not a certified law enforcement officer" NEITHER IS ZIMMERMAN.

"u can follow and confront anyone in this country" AND IF A STRANGER FOLLOWS AND CONFRONTS ME, IM STRIKING FIRST TO PROTECT MYSELF.

"Martin has no right to assault Zimmerman just because he confronted him and asked him what he was doing." AND ZIMM HAD NO RIGHT TO SHOOT AN UNARMED KID. ITS NOT CONFIRMED THAT ZIMM WAS EVEN ATTACKED BUT THERE IS A DEAD KID. THATS CONFIRMED.

Would you still feel the same if I shot your kid and said he attacked me? Would you still feel the same?

I have reported multiple

I have reported multiple incidents of rapid-fire gunshots exceeding 12-15 shots in number recently. I was wondering what types of weapons were being used, since the even spacing of the shots indicated there was not time for reloading. Apparently I don't live far from karlsruhe, but I didn't hear the gunshots from this incident. I'm just a little farther away than I used to be from that location. Sorry you're going through this trauma, too, karlsruhe. I was never away at war, but there seems to be a war going on right here in Richmond County. And I'm really tired of the gunfire, even though now that I've moved at least they're not aiming at me anymore.

Note to all... Zimmerman is

Note to all... Zimmerman is not white, he is Hispanic. Please, if you insist on making it a racial issue, get the dang races correct. And have a nice day.

Some need a course in Civics 101, the burden of proof is on the state in any criminal trial.

what happened to "assumed

what happened to "assumed innocent until proven guilty"? seems many many people who have no idea (except what they chose to show on tv) of what the evidence against zimmerman (no relation) have already indicted him and are preparing him for the electric chair.
