NORTH AUGUSTA -- Authorities are searching for the person who stole a truck and trailer loaded with a golf cart and lumber from a North Augusta business overnight Wednesday.

According to an incident report, North Augusta Public Safety officers were called to Adams Supply Company, 871 Edgefield Road, around 7 a.m. Thursday where they discovered someone had gained entry to the fenced area, loaded the items and driven through the fence near Palmetto Parkway.

Authorities are searching for the 2005 Chevrolet dually, trailer, green golf cart with a “Yard Dog Cadillac” sticker and an unknown amount of lumber.

A representative for the business told authorities the keys might have been left in the truck’s ignition.
