Two teens raped and sodomized a woman in her Harrisburg home while her five young children were present, police said.

Richmond County deputies were called to a Edgar Street home just after 3 p.m. Tuesday to investigate a home invasion.

The victim, described as being in her 20s, told investigators a young man identified later as Sam Samuel, 16, of Ellis Street, knocked on her door looking for someone called “Ole Boy,” sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Carrier said.

While the woman was speaking with the man, another man, whom police identified as Zachary Albright, 18, of Ridge Road, forced his way in with a gun. Police said Samuel and Albright ransacked the woman’s home and then raped and sodomized her in the presence of her children, who range in age from 18 months to 6 years.

Carrier said investigators learned three other youths were involved and one, Antonio McBride, 16, of Ellis Street, accompanied the two assailants. McBride was charged as an adult with armed robbery.

Sheriff's Lt. Blaise Dresser said investigators worked all night to track down the suspects in the assault. Dresser said the woman's children witnessed "some things at different times," but given their ages it wasn't certain if any were in the room while their mother was being assaulted.

Investigators were able to obtain "great physical evidence" from the scene and incriminating statements from several of the teens, he said.

Samuel and Albright were charged with armed robbery, rape and aggravated sodomy in connection with the assault. Albright was also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

All the juvenile suspects are being held at the Regional Youth Detention Center. Albright is being held at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center.

Kids today have lost their minds!!! They think life is a video game or tv show with no sense of morality or compassion. If this is what it is coming to then God help us. Prayers for this young woman and hopefully her older children will not be scarred from this.

This is the end result when

Unpublished

This is the end result when kids spend their entire brief existence focused completely on their own selfish material wants and desires in a total moral and spiritual vacuum where absolute right and wrong do not exist and where authority is largely absent.

They become utterly incapable of empathy or seeing things from the perspective of their neighbor. As a result, when they look at other people, they don't see human beings like themselves with feelings, emotions and needs. Instead, their outlook is that of a predator and the people moving around them are merely potential victims who can be used, exploited and then discarded once their purpose has been served.

The result is atrocities like this one.

Half-baked modern psychological theories, liberalism, the utter abdication of fatherly responsibilities by the black American male and the violence-saturated hip-hop culture in which these people immerse themselves have all contributed to this disaster.

What these people did was

What these people did was horrible, but does it make what happened in Sanford any less real? Before we as a society are so quick to judge , please remember all cultures and races have some less than desirable individuals as members; however, they are not the standard for all members. I'm sure I can find more white, hispanic, etc. criminals in history. Forget Al and Jessie, parents and assailants need to be responsible for their actions and government needs to allow people the right to discipline without fear of jail time. Society needs to stop saying "It's not my responsibility to teach or mentor". We all have to live together.

I can't believe the ignorance

I can't believe the ignorance of someone trying to blame this woman because she has 5 kids she (implied words used by a poster) asked to be raped. Are you kidding me? It would not have mattered if she had 1 or 10 no one ever deserves to be raped and sodomized.

scooby I also think the

scooby I also think the number of kids she has does not in any way justify the rape and I also think that 5 children by the age of 20 is horrible unless she is supporting them and not the taxpayer but I rather doubt it considering where she lives. Harrisburg is overrun with Section 8 and welfare. I was in Pepperidge last week and a young attractive well mannered nurse was getting ready to move. Her area has been filled with Section 8 and her home broken into twice. So sad, but that is what you get when you dumb down society and make them think they do not have to do anything and that everything is owed to them.

owensjef3, there is no question of who did what. The boys knocked on the woman's door. Held her with a gun, raped her and left. No guess work on who was crying out for help or who hit who or who was the first aggressor. Not the same circumstances. You should know that.
