Columbia County native Josh Kelley returns to his hometown Thursday for a stage dedication and performance with fellow country artists at Evans Towne Center Park.

Par Tee @ The Park, Columbia County’s Masters Tournament event, will feature performances by Kelley, Little Big Town and Eric Paslay.

During the concert, the stage at Lady Antebellum Pavilion will be dedicated to Kelley, a Lakeside High School graduate.

“We really wanted to do it when Josh was actually here to make sure he gets the honor that he deserves,” said county Community Events Specialist Keela Colombraro.

Kelley’s brother, Charles, and fellow Lady Antebellum band members Dave Haywood and Hilary Scott performed at the pavilion in October during a dedication ceremony for the amphitheater named in their honor. Charles Kelley and Haywood also are graduates of Lakeside High.

Gates to the park on Evans Town Center Boulevard open at 4 p.m. and the concert starts at 6 p.m. General admission costs $25 and VIP tickets closest to the stage are $35.

The concert will showcase the county to Masters guests and give residents in town during spring break an opportunity for local fun, Colombraro said.

After the show, patrons can mingle with former and current professional athletes at Warren Moon’s Legends of Sports Celebrity Party from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. Former NFL quarterback Warren Moon, former NFL running back Eric Dickerson and Lee Elder, the first black golfer to play the Masters in 1975, will attend.

A $250 party pass will provide a VIP ticket to the concert and access to the sports party, with complimentary food, drinks and a DJ playing music beneath a tent, Colombraro said.

“It’ll just be a neat atmosphere,” she added.

Colombraro encourages patrons to bring blankets and chairs to the concert. Coolers and food aren’t allowed, but food and alcohol vendors will set up on site. For information, call (706) 312-7192 or visit www.evanstownecenterpark.com.
