A body was discovered under a pontoon boat Saturday evening on Riverfront Drive, off Sandbar Ferry Road, authorities said.

After 8 p.m., deputies were called to the 700 block of Riverfront Drive after a resident found a body under a boat on the river.

Authorities called in the Department of Natural Resources dive team and the crime scene technicians.

Investigators at the scene said the body had been in the water for at least a few days.

No other details have been released.

Unless a GOOD legal reason

Unless a GOOD legal reason given to not give out simple details about body found or that the body decomposed beyond recognition by the crime scene technicians and Coroner office then perhaps they should all be taught basics as to how to identify a body as to sex and age, height, etc..

The Department of Natural

The Department of Natural Resources does not have a "dive team."

Wow TK3, sounds like they

Wow TK3, sounds like they need to call you instead because you are so obviosly more brilliant than they are. And they dont need to have a GOOD legal reason, they just have to have a reason not to give out the details. I think you need to change your name to Captain Obvious.

And for the record, when this

And for the record, when this story was originally posted the body had not even been pulled out of the water yet. And as of the update at 11...they were still investigating and locating the family.
