Soccer fields at Blanchard Woods Park will be closed until Sept. 1 for maintenance and repair work, according to the Columbia County recreation and events department.

The field closures are needed to prepare for the fall sports season and the National Division II Soccer Championships to be held in December at the park, 4600 Blanchard Woods Road in Evans. The park’s playground and cross country course will remain open.
