U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., will speak to the downtown Augusta Kiwanis Club on Monday about job creation.

According to a news release, Isakson will talk about creating jobs through fundamental tax reform, regulatory reform and energy security. He will take questions after his speech.

The speech will begin at 12:30 p.m. in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church’s River Room, 605 Reynolds St.

Isakson was a member of the U.S. House from 1999 to 2005, when he took Zell Miller’s seat in the Senate.

He had served in the Georgia Legislature for 17 years.
