Santorum has no Augusta stop set

An anti-abortion organization based in Washington, D.C., that supports the candidacy for Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum will stop today in Augusta, but the candidate will not be with them.

According to Mallory Quigley, the communications director for the Susan B. Anthony List, “We are not affiliated with the Santorum campaign, and the senator will not be on the bus.”

Quigley said the “Rick Bus,” which features a giant photo of Santorum on its side will be stopping at Springfield Park on Reynolds Street at 3:30 p.m. for a brief news conference. Former U.S. Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, of Colorado, the vice president of government affairs for the organization, will speak along with some local women, Quigley said.
