A woman was struck by a car about 7:45 p.m. as she was crossing the 3700 block of Peach Orchard Road, authorities said.

Stephanie Amerson was crossing from Bob’s One Stop convenience store to Flynn’s Inn Camping Village when she was hit by a dark blue Honda Accord, Richmond County sheriff’s Lt. Robbie Silas said.

Silas said Amerson was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital, where she was being treated for serious injuries.

No charges have been filed.

I had to swerve once to miss a drunk coming out of the lot on POrch. & Windsor Spring.....busted my 2 tires on the medium curb---I was pregnant at the time & this could have been a disaster if the drunk had hit me .....he got away scott free--I had damage to pay for but hey--I'm here to tell about it!!
Of course I can use that incident on my daughter when she messes up...:)
