The event, Chip in ‘FORE’ Adoption, supports Covenant Care Services of Augusta and will be March 3 at Forest Hills Golf Club.
“By participating in the tournament I have the ability to help save lives and families that are in need, which is much more important than any championship a golfer could ever play in,” Augusta State golfer Carter Newman said in a statement.
Money raised from the tournament supports the non-profit, non-denominational Christian ministry, which provides adoption placement and follow-up counseling services to local women.
The tournament costs $100 per player. Hole sponsorships are $150. The registration deadline is Feb. 25.
