Today’s springlike weather could shift to thunderstorms and moderate rainfall by Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Today’s forecast calls for sunny skies and highs in the 70s, dropping to around 54 degrees tonight.

Thursday’s outlook includes increasingly cloudy skies and a high of 73 degrees, with a 20 percent chaince of rain during the day increasing to 70 percent chance Thursday night and an 80 percent chance of rain Friday morning.

Although forecasters say potential rainfall totals will likely range from from a quarter-inch to a half-inch, some isolated thunderstorms could be severe, with heavier rainfall.
