Alcohol is suspected in an Evans wreck that left a truck overturned on Hardy McManus Road.

About 5:30 p.m., Brandon Castillo, 21, of Evans, was driving his red Ford F-150 north on Hardy McManus Road, said Columbia County sheriff’s Deputy Bobby Bradford.

For unknown reasons, he drove his truck off the road and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to flip and land in the middle of the road. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, Bradford said.

Charges, including driving under the influence, are pending, Bradford said.
