Richmond County Probate Judge Isaac Jolles announced Friday that he will not be seeking another term and plans to retire.

The Augusta native also served as judge of Recorder’s Court for the city for many years.

Jolles said it was a “bittersweet” decision, but that he was hanging up his robes to spend more time with his family. He was elected to probate court in 1998.

The AC should have made this

The AC should have made this a story with a reporter who could have given Judge Jolles more time and effort. Someone who serves the community should be afforded more time than just a 'staff' report!! Follow up!

So sorry to see that he will be leaving...he is such a caring person...few and far between in his profession! He will be greatly missed. Judge, enjoy your retirement.
