A woman was found shot to death Friday morning in her Midville, Ga., home.

Burke County sheriff’s deputies found the body of Jennifer Albright around 7:30 a.m. in her Fry Lane residence, Sheriff Greg Coursey said.

The officers responded to what they thought was a home invasion, but later determined as a “domestic situation involving juveniles,” Coursey said. They have the suspect in custody, but the name has not been released.

The Sheriff’s Office is consulting with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation on the case and did not immediately bring charges. Albright’s body has been sent to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy and the investigation is in its early stages, Coursey said.

Why is the GBI investigating?

Why is the GBI investigating? My deepest condolences to those who are grieving. This is "so sad".
