Vandals spray-paint Richmond school

  • Follow Latest News

Graffiti was discovered Thursday morning by a Richmond County patrol deputy at Pine Hill Middle School on the 2100 block of McElmurray Road, a sheriff’s report shows.

The deputy described the graffiti on the side and columns outside the gym doors as the word “Tank” and a five-pointed star surrounded by a broken circle, along with the letter “D” with horns at the top and a devil’s tail. Those symbols and others were painted in black and light orange paint.

Board of Education Public Safety Lt. Richard Roundtree and the school principal were notified; the incident will be investigated after Christmas break.

So many wasted brain

So many wasted brain much time on their hands for trouble...I live near some Asian kids....they NEVER have wasted time.....the parents have a routine of study-work--music & helping around house....the best thing we could do for our kids would be to put Asian teachers in schools...give them freedom to teach as they teach their own kids.....make school last til late in day..
Oneday this country will be left behind & some will say "What happened?"

Just remember the shootings-crime-killings--goofoffs---dropouts--
and then say "Why didn't we do something to change it?"

You can't keep moving away----the problems move with you-
My teachers -parents didn't put up with unruly kids....why now?

seenitB4, good points. We

seenitB4, good points. We have some Asian neighbors too, and their kids are smart, respectful, very well mannered.

Until the parents and schools can and will discipline kids, things will only get worse. Unfortunately, I think it'll be getting worse, not being fixed.

MOre money will do it, that's

MOre money will do it, that's it, that will solve the problem. Like heck it will. Parents do it right and do not be uyour childs best friend. That will never work. They will sense the weakness and run over you like a steam roller.

Now, now. You can't single

Now, now. You can't single out Asian folks. You'll soon be accused of making racially insensitive comments here! According to some posts commenting on the thug who murdered the policeman, it's not about race / culture. It's about socioeconomics. Parents (or the lack thereof) have nothing to do with it.

It is our job as parents to

It is our job as parents to raise our children with respect of themselves and others. It is not the job of teachers to teach our children respect. Those are things that we should teach our children before they even get in school. Teachers should not have to put up with unruly kids in class they should be sent some where else so that the children that want to learn can learn.
