An Augusta woman opted not to seek charges against the masked gunmen who forced their way into her home this morning.

According to an incident report, the two men with pistols broke down the front door of a home on the 500 block of W. Richmond Hill Road shortly after midnight. The men walked around the living room before leaving without taking anything.

Jeanette Small, 45, told officers she waited nearly an hour to call for help because her 27-year-old daughter was frightened.

They were looking for

They were looking for something or somebody, and the woman knows it.

Just another wonderful day in Richmond Hill, which is rapidly becoming the epicenter of crime in South Augusta.

Sad.

People, most of these "home

People, most of these "home invasions" aren't random. If you don't owe crooks money, they're not very likely to show up at your house to collect.

burninater, give me a break.

burninater, give me a break. Have you done some kind of survey on these home invasions? Do you have proof that backs up your statement? I think it is unwise and unkind to make sweeping generalizations like that. There are enough home invasions that ARE random or even erroneous targets that their victims and people that care about them are going to be hurt by people, like you, that run roughshod over their feelings like that. Consider them before painting with such a broad brush.

As far as this particular

As far as this particular incident; I'm not going to try to make any judgments on what happened. Too little information, too soon, and too many cooks in the kitchen.
