The South Carolina Highway Patrol is reporting an accident with injuries this morning on Interstate 20 in Aiken County.
According to the patrol's Web site, the accident occurred in the westbound lane near mile marker 12 about 3:40 a.m.
Too much detail!!
I'm sure someone has brought this up before, but what is it about the Aiken County stretch of I-20 that seems so accident prone? Is it just me, or does that stretch really have accidents at a much higher rate than on this side of the river?
One spot I used to travel over between Augusta & Aiken was an incline, that anytime there was ANY precipitation, it became very slick. People were all the time hydroplaning. The trees in the middle of the interstate were all beat up from vehicles.
