A book signing for Augusta author Bill Baab’s newest publication, “Augusta on Glass, The Retail Dairies of Aiken, Columbia, and Richmond Counties,” will be held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Aiken County Public Library.

Baab and his wife, Bea, self-published the 127-page, illustrated book in October, with the histories of 35 retail dairies that delivered milk door-to-door. The cost of the book is $25.

Baab, 76, a native of Glenside, Pennsylvania, has lived in Augusta since 1940. He retired in 2000 after 36 years as outdoor editor and sports writer at The Augusta Chronicle.
