Fire destroys middle Ga. warehouse, business

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Authorities say a huge fire consumed a business and a nearby warehouse, destroying both buildings in the central Georgia town of Warner Robins.

The Telegraph of Macon reports that flames reached as high as five stories as nearly two dozen firefighters battled the blaze late Thursday night.

Warner Robins fire Capt. James Franklin said Apple Enclosures and an adjacent warehouse on Watson Boulevard were destroyed.

No one was injured, and the cause of the fire was under investigation early Friday.




Savannah River Site resumes normal activity

A suspicious item was discovered Wednesday afternoon at the Savannah River National Laboratory which prompted emergency responseactivities.
