Clemson arrests peeping Tom

CLEMSON, S.C. — A 23-year-old man has been charged with peeping on students at a women’s dorm at Clemson University.

University police arrested Milton Brian Benson of Clemson on the 10th floor of a dorm early Monday.

Clemson officials say Benson is neither a student nor an employee.

Police say Benson followed two students into Manning Hall after they had opened the door with a security key card. A warrant says Benson was seen looking into the bathroom showers before he was confronted.

Police Chief Johnson Link says he’s glad no one was hurt. Link says students should be careful when entering dorms and make sure they aren’t followed.

Benson is charged with first-degree burglary and peeping. It’s not clear if he has a lawyer. He’s being held at the Pickens County jail.
