ATLANTA -- Just days before coming forward with allegations of a 13-year affair with Herman Cain, Ginger White was repeatedly having contact with the presidential candidate, according to her cellphone records obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Between Oct. 22 and Nov. 18, there were 70 text messages between White’s cellphone and Cain’s cellphone. Some were as early as 4:54 a.m., and some came late into the night.

Lin Wood, Cain’s attorney, told the AJC on Wednesday that he thinks most of the messages were asking for money, which Cain has admitted to providing the Dunwoody woman who has repeatedly faced eviction. Cain has denied a physical relationship with White.

“Maintain common sense,” Wood said in an interview. “Mr. Cain was extremely busy in his campaign. He didn’t have time to send a lot of texts.”

A review of the records by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution shows Cain sent 17 text messages to White, almost always responding to messages from her.

Did Herman really think that

Did Herman really think that this stuff was not going to come out, really. In times like these where every little scrap of scandal is blown out of proportion on our 24/7 cable news outlets, really. What i am especially interested in is how those who will now go to 'the Newt' can do so without seeing the complete and unadulterated 'HYPOCRACY' they will find themselves in. What a bunch of losers, both moral and ethical.

This lady should be frowned

This lady should be frowned upon, not credited for bringing something like this out. She was involved with a married man for what SHE claims was almost 13 years. Only brings it to light probably after he stopped contact with her (if this is true). I think its either for money or revenge.

I have no idea whether Cain

I have no idea whether Cain is a cheater or whether this woman is out for money but some things that make me question this whole situation......If this affair has been going on for 13 years and he has lavished her with gifts and trips, even a trip to Las Vegas....in 13 years there has to be someone who could validate her claim. In 13 years there has to be someone who can say they were seen together on this or that trip, plane tickets or motel room receipts, parking validations, something. Phone calls and text messages does not prove anything other than two people had multiply conversations.

What I find sad is, if this is true, Cain is a disgusting man and husband, but also Ms. White is trash. I realize that sounds harsh but any woman that would continue in a relationship knowing from the beginning the man is married is no lady in my opinion. She made the statement it has been hard on her family, that she was single when the affair started but he was already married, like that makes it better. I'm assuming by that statement she has married since the affair started and that makes it even worse...that she would marry a man and continue to have an affair on the side. Dang, how low can you go...

Looks like Ms. White is being

Looks like Ms. White is being accused of having a lesbian relationship with her ex-business partner... hummmmm Herman might just be telling the truth about 'not having sex with that women', He was just 'hangin' out to WATCH... pretty lurid by any standard I know. Herman is toast.

Herman is not TOAST. Allof

Herman is not TOAST. Allof the allegations about Bill Clinton were known before he went into the White House, and still the Democrats stood behind him and made sure he was elected president. I think all of us Republicans should take this for what it is, an attack by the Democrats to destroy the only viable candidate we have. The Democrats succeeded in giving us our Republican candidate in 2008. If we stand idly by and let this happen again, The USA will never be the same. Go Herman, you've got my vote.

Why talk about this now?

Why talk about this now? Because he is running for President of the United States? What if he were not running? Would you still talk about it? Why now? What are you looking to accomplish? If you could not speak up before, then why do it now?

And if she is looking to get

And if she is looking to get money, then I think that is a very big problem that needs to be addressed. Is she using this opportunity to get money? If so, then why? Why do it now? Why not before? Should money be rewarded because you did this at this time? Really? What for? What are you REALLY trying to accomplish?

' an attack by the

' an attack by the Democrats', pleeeeeease, pulling statements out of thin air like this only diminishes any argument one can make. Deacon Cain's attempt to deny, deny, deny, and deny is an old trick used by many a philandering Clergyman. It allows those that 'WANT' to believe him a way to justify their self righteousness, that is all, a way to justify not having to use the 'intellect' and instead keep the emotional fires burning.

Crooks are able to get slander extortion money because folks love gossip. All this is going to do is fan the flames of more slander extortion.

Whether true or not I think all of these women are doing it for a reason. Money.
As for the one in this article, she needs that money to keep coming in. She has issues.

Not so long ago having an

Not so long ago having an affair with a married man was not something you bragged about to the world. Now it is the norm-not only with Herman Cain, but Ashton Kutcher and a number of others, like it's a source of pride or vengeance to show that these folks aren't who we think they are. Maybe they're not but again, must you show everyone how class-less you are, ladies?
Also, what politician in this day and age thinks that any dirt won't come out? I don't think Mr. Cain is that slow-witted, so that tends to make me think he may be right...ish!

Farmboy...of course it's

Farmboy...of course it's because he's running for president. If he weren't running all his little secrets wouldn't matter to anyone except his wife and they'd probably be kept secret. As far as the women accusing him of sexual harassment, those women accused him long before he ran for president and were paid off to keep their mouths shut. They didn't just come out now with their claims. And it's those claims that make me believe this recent claim is true. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

I find it very questionable

I find it very questionable that the accusations came to light only AFTER Cain began doing well in the polls, after the others who, in the beginning, perceived him as a non-threat began to realize just how fast he was gaining momentum. We can all speculate until the end of the world, but regardless of his sex life -alleged or real, he has my vote.

ispy4u, you are assuming that

ispy4u, you are assuming that the allegations are true and gagirl40, where is the proof that a sexual relationship took place.

Let me fill you in, anyone can say anything and damage your reputation and there's nothing you can do about it. My father is the most honorable man I have ever known in my lifetime and that's many years. He was a supervisor working in a manufacturing industries of mostly men in the maintenance department. They hired a woman (I will not call her a lady) and because she had poor performance on the job due to family issues (and laziness) and my father had to issue a counselling to her, she decided to get back. She filed a false sexual harassment suit against my father and both my parents but especially my poor mother had to endure the embarassment. It went to court and he was found innocent and proven the charges to be false but the stress and embarassment my parents went through was horrible. My father is not perfect but honorable and integrity he does not lack. So before you jump to conculsions and pass judgement on someone, please remember, things are not always how they appear. Deal with the facts and evidence.

Until someone comes forward besides Cain or White and can verify that they have seen these two out on trips or dinner, etc. I will not pass judgement on him. I have many friends of the opposite sex that I work with, go to church with, (never go out to dinner with unless my spouse is along), and talk on the phone to, so just phone calls back and forth to me is a little weak on the evidence.

To think that this is simply

To think that this is simply someone trying to get revenge, and nothing really happen has to be someones way of saying Tiger Woods' accusers were out for revenge as well. The only thing different is, Tiger was young enough to remember what happen and that the allegations were true. It seems Mr. Cain is having a hard time with both. If this was just one person, I would probably say maybe not, but we are talking about a few, and there seems to be a pattern here. It seems many are willing to look the other way until the victim is your daughter, wife, or even you. At what point did this type of behavior become acceptable? Particularly for someone running for the President of the United States. This is not about Democrats or Republicans, this is about doing the right thing and conducting yourself like adults.

Fortunately, no one will

Fortunately, no one will have to stress about whether to vote for Herman or not. He was never going to win the nomination. Can you believe it was reported that Cain stated he hasn't spoken with his wife about this matter yet? He plans to do so on Friday and then announce his future plans. Yeah, right.

Mr. Cain finally told the

Mr. Cain finally told the truth, and admitted to giving money from month-to-month without his wife knowledge. If this was so innocent, why not tell your true love about what you were doing. There is more to this, and I for one am glad it is coming out now. Really feel sorry for his wife and family. He should have known better than hide the truth about his relationships outside of the marriage.
