Woman robbed while returning to hotel

  • Follow Latest News

A woman was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday by a man who offered to drive her back to her hotel room from the Cloud 9 bar, a Richmond County sheriff’s report shows.

The victim told deputies that they were en route to the hotel around 2:20 a.m. when the suspect pulled into the parking lot of Bussey Auto Glass on the 1600 block of Gordon Highway and placed a gun against her head.

The woman was forced out of the truck and the suspect drove away in his silver pickup with her purse, a report states.

The victim said she would press charges of armed robbery if the robber was found.
