A motorcyclist is in critical condition after hitting a car early Saturday morning.

According to Richmond County Sheriff’s Sgt. Danny Whitehead, the motorcyclist, Earl Gomillion of the 3100 block of St. George Court, was traveling behind a car on Martin Luther King Boulevard around 3 a.m. Saturday.

When the car turned left on 13th Avenue, Gomillion struck the vehicle and was injured. The car left the scene before deputies arrived, but Whitehead said they have located a vehicle and were checking to see if it was the one that left the scene.

Gomillion was in critical condition at Medical College of Georgia Hospital Saturday evening, Whitehead said.

A motorcyclist just went

A motorcyclist just went flying down the street heading East for Deans Bridge Road at 11:20pm Saturday night. Kept expecting to hear the sickening sound of a crash as he approached. Trying to beat the midnight deadline to buy beer at the Deans Bridge Kroger tonight?

Yes, I realize that had

Yes, I realize that had little to do with the article, but let me add this: Please, no matter what vehicle you are driving, motorcycles, cars, etc., please exercise due caution. Try to have a plan B if a vehicle makes an unexpected move. Plan ahead! Obey the rules of the road! Hmmm...another motorcyle just flew by also headed east. Of course, it could be the same one coming around full circle, but it wasn't going as fast. I did notice the driver had a helmet. That's good.

Who do you think picks up the hospital tab when these guys drive like idiots? Taxpayers if the individual doesn't have insurance or the insurance company can weasel out of it. So why wouldn't AutumnLeaves have some sage advice and an opinion? If he has to pay then he should be able to comment about knuckleheads.
