Ga. police search for Thanksgiving shooter

CONYERS, Ga. — Police in Conyers are searching for a suspect accused of repeatedly shooting a man in a car on Thanksgiving Day.

Conyers police Lt. Jackie Dunn tells WSB-TV that 911 dispatchers received several calls shortly after 11:30 a.m. Thursday about shots being fired on Irwin Bridge Road.

Dunn said one of the 911 calls came from a person inside the vehicle who said he had been shot.

Police said they found the man who had been shot near a red Dodge Charger and recovered an automatic handgun. He was flown by helicopter to Atlanta Medical Center.




Savannah River Site resumes normal activity
