MARIETTA, Ga. — A former metro Atlanta nurse has been sentenced to life plus 25 years after he was convicted of sexually assaulting unconscious patients and recording the attacks.

WSB-TV reports  that 47-year-old Paul Serdula was sentenced Friday after having been convicted in April.

Serdula worked as a certified registered nurse anesthetist at medical offices throughout metro Atlanta. He was charged in November 2009 with hiding a camera in the women's bathroom of a dental office where he worked. The following week, he was arrested after police said he videotaped himself assaulting a 15-year-old girl who was under anesthesia at the Cobb County dental office.

Multiple victims testified at the sentencing hearing.
