A man was shot in the chest around 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Deputies responded to a call at the Circle K on Walton Way where EMS took a shooting victim to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital.

Richmond County Sheriff’s Lt. Robbie Silas said a woman took the victim to the convenience store and called authorities from there.

Officers found blood at a residence on nearby Crawford Avenue, but no witnesses have come forward. They are now searching for a person of interest in the area.

Sad to say Brad, that was my thought.....we're already getting so complacent about violence that it's just another article, just another shooting. Soon it will become the norm (if not already) that we'll just skip over the article like it means nothing. Sad isn't it.
