A book signing for Augusta author Bill Baab’s newest publication, “Augusta on Glass, The Retail Dairies of Aiken, Columbia, and Richmond Counties,” will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Augusta Museum of History.

After more than five years of research and development, Baab and his wife, Bea, self-published the 127-page, profusely illustrated book in October, with the histories of 35 retail dairies that delivered milk door-to-door. The cost of the book is $25.

Baab and his wife also have self-published two other books about antique bottles. In 2010, The Whitefish Press, of Cincinnati, Ohio, published his book, Remembering George W. Perry, the life and times of the man who caught the world record, 22-pound, 4-ounce largemouth bass in a Georgia lake in 1932.

Baab, 76, a native of Glenside, Pennsylvania, has lived in Augusta since 1940. He retired in 2000 after 36 years as outdoor editor and sports writer at The Augusta Chronicle.
