UGA's Hamilton leaves team

Georgia safety Jakar Hamilton, out for the season with an ankle injury suffered in preseason, has left the team for personal reasons, coach Mark Richt announced Tuesday.

Hamilton is a former Strom Thurmond standout. He played in 13 games in 2010 including five starts. He recorded 27 tackles and one interception.

From what I understand, it's because he's read the writing on the wall and see how much competition he'll have whenever he returns. He doesn't want to be a senior sitting on the bench next season, and I certainly don't blame him. I wish him nothing but good luck and hope for the best!

What competition? That team is not good, can't beat a ranked team, lost last year bowl game to I don't know who.
