The Richmond County Coroner’s Office is seeking the family of a veteran who died overnight Sunday.

The body of James Edward Blackwell, 63, was discovered Monday afternoon by his roommates in a Park Drive residence where he was renting a room.

Foul play is not suspected in the death, Coroner Grover Tuten said Tuesday.

Authorities believe Blackwell died of natural causes.

The Coroner’s Office has been unsuccessful at tracking down Blackwell’s family and is unsure how long he has been living at the Park Drive dwelling.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Richmond County Coroner’s Office at (706) 821-2382.
