Columbia County will commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11 with a ceremony Saturday.
The event will be held at 7 p.m. in the Columbia County Amphitheater.
The City of Augusta's Public Safety departments will hold a Sept. 11th Remembrance Service on Sunday at the Augusta Common. The ceremony will begin at 9:30a.m. Highlights of the events will include the acknowledgements of families and volunteers from the CSRA, flags marking all public safety members who lost their lives on Sept. 11th until 2010, the tolling of the bells symbolizing when the World Trade Center towers collapsed, as well as messages and remarks from all departments involved and other special guests.
