Adult takes child's birthday gifts, deputies told

  • Follow Latest News

A grandmother is accused of taking birthday cards with cash and gift cards inside them from her 5-year-old grandson during a party at New Exodus Baptist Church in Hephzibah, a Richmond County sheriff's report states.

The complainant, Nakeydra Herrington, 25, told a deputy Sunday that she saw the older adult take the cards and she admitted the theft when Herrington confronted her, according to a report.

Herrington said she would press a charge of theft by taking if the cards were not returned.

Reminds me of a recent

Reminds me of a recent incident at a local coffee house; there was a group of eight who came in and had dinner; overhearing conversation it was easy to tell this was a "church group". The distinguished gentleman, who every one called "Pastor" was a man of questionable morals...as everyone was paying their own bill and leaving tips on the tables.....the "Pastor" waited until everyone was near the door and he picked up ALL of the tip money and put it in his coat pocket...........despicable !!!
