$100 worth of copper is stolen from church

An intruder stole $100 worth of copper from a water heater at The House of the Lord Pentecostal Church on 10th Street sometime between Aug. 1 and Friday, according to a Richmond County sheriff's report.

A church member told police Sunday that someone had gained entry and removed the copper from the heater.

The waterline was also removed from under the structure, according to the report.

All windows and doors were secure when the theft was discovered.
