A Richmond County woman was reported missing Sunday afternoon by her husband after he last spoke with her Friday at 1:30 a.m.

Marion Annette Hall McClendon, 47, of the 3700 block of Fairington Drive, told her husband she had a flat tire somewhere on Lumpkin Road, according to a Richmond County sheriff's report.

Rickie McClendon told police he was in Charleston, S.C., at the time.

He said calls to his wife's cellphone are going directly to voice mail and that she has not been home since he returned from his trip.

Marion McClendon was last seen in a black 1998 Honda Civic.

Hope the worst case scenario

Hope the worst case scenario is nothing worse than maybe she got caught up in the recent drug sweep, guilty or not, sometimes they might have to detain someone for reasons known only to the officials at the time.
