SRS citizens board to meet in Columbia County

Savannah River Site’s Citizens Advisory Board will hold its July meeting in Columbia County.

The series of presentations and discussions has been scheduled for Monday, July 25, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.; and Tuesday 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a Federal Register notice.

All events are open to the public, and will be held at Savannah Rapids Pavilion on Evans to Locks Road.

The SRS CAB is a stakeholder board that provides the Energy Department with advice, information, and recommendations on issues affecting the environmental management programs. Issues include nuclear waste management and disposition; stabilization and disposition of non-stockpile nuclear materials; excess facilities; future land use and long-term stewardship; risk assessment and management; and clean-up science and technology activities.
