Report: Man points pistol during dispute

  • Follow Latest News

A man reportedly pointed a pistol at another man during an argument over a missing paycheck Sunday morning, according to a Richmond County Sheriff's Office report.

Robert Lee Blandenburg, of the 2300 block of Boykin Road, said Alonzo Quinn Bradley raised a chrome pistol from his side after getting upset when told his paycheck would be mailed to him.

Bradley told police he knocked on Blandenburg's door demanding his paycheck, but did not have a gun. He said he raised a hammer from his side after Blandenburg charged towards him, the report states.

Am I wrong or did Bradley

Am I wrong or did Bradley admit to aggravated assault? But there may be a chance for a self-defense plea.

It would depend on who's side

It would depend on who's side of the story you believe. If in fact someone came after me and I chose a hammer as an equalizer and was defending myself, then so be it. At the sound of this story the Deputy probably told Blandenburg and Bradley if you wish to pursue charges. Pick up a copy of the report and speak to the magistrate.

Who goes to pick up their

Who goes to pick up their paycheck and knocks on the door with a pistol or a hammer in their hand? There are better avenues to pursue money that is rightfully owed to you.

It's not an 'equalizer' when you're standing at someone else's front door. He's lucky the homeowner didn't shoot him.
