Aiken debit card thief sought

Suspect in use of stolen debit card.


          The Aiken Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual in the attached photo. 

According to a news release, on June 11, a female victim had her wallet stolen from her purse while at a local grocery store.  Shortly after the wallet was stolen the victim’s debit card was used at Moe’s Discount Tobacco Store on Beaufort Street.  The person using the card was a thin, white male in his  early to mid-20s wearing glasses.  The photos were obtained from Moe’s Discount Tobacco Store showing the suspect using the card.

            Anyone with information is asked to call the Aiken Department of Public Safety Investigative Division at 803-642-7620.  Any callers can remain anonymous.  Callers can also call Crimestoppers of the Midlands at 1-888-CRIME-SC.  Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of $50.00-$1000.00.
