Storm injures 2 dozen soldiers

Fort Gordon officials have reported that the severe storms that struck the area late last evening caused considerable damage to a bivouac area housing Soldiers participating in Reserve Component Annual Training and the RED DRAGON exercise. 

    According to a news release, approximately two dozen members of the unit were transported to Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center on post for treatment of injuries from storm-related debris and damaged tents. 

No major injuries have been reported and most of the treated personnel have been returned to duty.




Savannah River Site resumes normal activity
