Pledges for children's hospital top $850,000

The local Children's Miracle Network Celebration, which aired from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday on WRDW-TV, brought in about $857,893 in donations and pledges to benefit the services and programs at Medical College of Georgia Hospital 's Children's Medical Center.

This year's total is nearly $100,000 more than the $767,113 in donations and pledges last year . The Children's Medical Center is a no nprofit organization that relies on community support to provide patient care services to children and families.
