Woman, car burned at Kennesaw, Ga. gas station

KENNESAW, Ga. — Police in Kennesaw say a woman was burned when a man set fire to her and her car at a gas station and convenience store.

Officials say the woman pulled up to a gas pump at the BP station on Barrett Parkway at I-75 about 2 a.m. Wednesday when a man who had followed her into the station set the fire. They say she's hospitalized with serious burns.

Police have not released the victim's name. They also have not released information on the suspect and what relationship he might have had with the victim.

This poor woman could have been in an abusive relationship. I hope she will be ok. I have no respect or sympathy for people that hurt people.

Having "some" experience with

Having "some" experience with abusers...I realize now that I should've run like the wind at the first uncomfortable feeling of fear and anxiety and maybe mine and my children's life would've been a little easier, perhaps much easier. We made it but I would strongly advise people now to get out of it as quickly as you can. If they hit you once, they'll hit you again.
