Authorities are asking for help in searching for a vehicle seen leaving the area of a murder.

The vehicle, described as a dark colored car similar to a mid-1980s model Chevrolet Caprice with loud mufflers, was seen leaving the 2800 block of Hood Avenue where investigators discovered the body of 81-year-old Johnny Luckey in his home on Friday, according to a news release.

The sheriff's office is offering a cash reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible for the murder.

Anyone with information can contact the sheriff's office at (706) 821-1080 or (866) 939-5050.

It takes a really super duper

It takes a really super duper special kind of person to shoot an sick 81 year old man on an oxygen tank.

I hope when they catch whoever did it, that it's a capital case.

Well, every 4th car in

Well, every 4th car in Augusta, GA is a mid-80s Caprice with no muffler.... I hope they do find the trash-bags responsible for this, and I hope they receive death, and then spend eternity in hell. Nobody deserves this.

Very sad. One thing I love

Very sad. One thing I love about Atlanta though: Mandatory Emissions Testing = Very Few 1980's Thug-Mobiles Cruising Around. Just too bad it doesn't = better air quality.

And if by some chance they

And if by some chance they hadn't thought about that already, you just gave them the idea, so equally bad mistake.

The murderers might have

The murderers might have stopped at a gas station or fast food restaraunt in the area prior to the time of the shooting. There is a possibility of finding out by asking some of the gas station attendents if they'd seen a similar vehicle and maybe pulling video if needed. Whoever did it probably lives in or frequents that general area.
