Richt to speak tonight

Georgia head football coach Mark Richt is the main speaker at tonight’s Greater Augusta Bulldog Club spring meeting at Julian Smith Casino. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and will be followed by the main program at 7.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available in advance at Tudor’s Cleaners locations, Queensborough National Bank locations, Somewhere in Augusta Bar & Grill and Surrey Center Pharmacy.

Richt is 96-34 in 10 seasons at Georgia. Last season, the Bulldogs finished at 6-7 – Richt’s first losing campaign.

Georgia head men’s basketball coach Mark Fox, who was originally slated to appear, will not be in attendance. Assistant basketball coach Phillip Pearson will replace Fox.

The men’s basketball went 21-12 this past season, including a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008.
