The associates will work with local agencies such as the Boys & Girls Clubs, MACH Academy, Safe Homes of Augusta , The Berry Center, the American Red Cross and the Senior Citizens Council. The new employees will get a biweekly living allowance and a choice of a scholarship or an end-of-service stipend.
Associates will recruit and train volunteers, help with youth summer activities, plan fundraisers, and assist with special events and other duties throughout the summer.
According to a release by the United Way , applicants should have at least a high school diploma but some college experience is preferred.
