The Richmond County School System's Department of School Safety and Security and the Drug Enforcement Administration will host the second national prescription drug take back on Saturday. This event is held to collect any and all unneeded and expired medications, no questions asked, the school district announced in a news release.

The event is designed to prevent accidental poisonings of children, illicit personal use and diversion.

The DEA and school safety officers will man a collection point in front of the Richmond County Board of Education building at Ninth and Broad streets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Others announced by the Richmond County Sheriff's Office during the same timeframe are: Kroger, 2801 Washington Road; and Walmart, 3209 Deans Bridge Road.
