Gunman asks store clerk for powder, water

Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a Dollar General this morning.

According to a Richmond County Sheriff's Office incident report, a man with a towel over his face entered the store at 3134 Wrightsboro Road around 10 a.m. and asked the clerk for Goody's Powder and a bottled water.

When he returned to the clerk, he placed a gun on the counter and asked for money, police said. He then asked the clerk to go to the rear of the building while he fled.

It was unclear whether the robber actually got anything before he left.



Savannah River Site resumes normal activity
