SRS, contractor seek 'partnering' pact

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site and liquid waste contractor Savannah River Remediation will pursue a “partnering” agreement aimed at fostering a more collaborative working relationship between the two entities.

The agreement, signed earlier this month between David Moody, DOE-SR Manager, and Dave Olson, SRR President and Project Manager, is a pilot that will be used as a guide for other DOE sites.
The new program stems from a DOE policy on Partnering-Based Contract Management established on June 30, 2010. The DOE-SR/SRR Agreement brings collaborative working relationships that contribute to safe, compliant and cost-effective execution of the SRS liquid waste operations contract objectives.
