Man robbed while walking with children

A man walking to a park in the 3400 block of Winesap Way with his two small children was robbed at gunpoint Monday afternoon, according to a Richmond County Sheriff's Office report.

Desmond Tesnair told a deputy he was on a foot path around 3 p.m. headed toward Apple Valley Recreation Park with his children, both younger than 3, when he was intercepted by the robber.

The robber, described as a black man, between 18 and 28 years old, with short black hair, pointed a pistol at Tesnair and demanded his wallet. Tesnair handed over his wallet but got it back when the robber saw there was no money in it, the report states.
