COVINGTON, Ga. - Three people have died in a crash on a busy Covington highway.

The Georgia State Patrol says the driver of a Pontiac Grand Am pulled out of a business and into the path of a pickup truck around 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

The Patrol says the Pontiac's driver, 22-year-old Tesha Barrington, and two of her passengers were killed in the crash. The passengers were identified as 36-year-old Lori Renee Crawford and her 16-year-old daughter Sierra Sky Fletcher.

Two other passengers, including Barrington's 2-year-old son, were treated at local hospitals for injuries that were not life threatening.

Jeffrey Gabriel Day, the 18-year-old driver of the pickup truck, was treated at the scene.
